Komati River Chalets is situated along the banks of the Komati River on 5 hectares, with tranquil bush veld surroundings. Easily accessible from the N4 motorway, only 2km from the Lebombo Border Post into Mozambique and 11km from the Crocodile Bridge Gate into the Kruger National Park and 65 km from the Swaziland, Mananga Border Post.

We are ideally situated for the discerning traveller offering bed and breakfast or fully equipped self catering chalets. Enjoy an evening braai / barbeque while listening to the night sounds and grunting of hippo. The chalets are surrounded with green lawns and shady trees.

Accommodation

We have twenty fully equipped, under thatch self-catering chalets to accommodate single, double, triple guests or our 2 bedroom family chalets to sleep families of 4 to 8 people. The chalets consist of comfortable, air-conditioned rooms, with en-suite bathrooms, with either a shower or bath with shower.

All chalets have TV, M-Net and fully equipped kitchenettes with tea / coffee facilities, outdoor patios and a braai / barbeque area. The chalets are serviced daily. The 2 bedroom family chalets also have comfortable, relaxing TV lounges. Laundry may be done on request except over the week end.

The configurations of the chalets are as follows:
14 x standard one bedroom chalets accommodating double / twin or triple
2 x Luxury two bedrooms, two bathroom 4 sleeper family chalets
1 x two bedrooms, one bathroom 4 sleeper family chalet
3 x two bedroom, two bathroom 6-8 sleeper family chalet

After a day of game viewing and travelling, guests can relax and enjoy a drink in the fully licensed Ladies Bar situated near the sparkling swimming pool / Breakfast, Lapa area.

Facilities

Guests may enjoy a leisurely river walk, our excellent bird life, over 175 species of birds recorded on the property, or for the more adventurous, Tiger Fishing in the Komati River. The Tiger fish is one of the most exciting fresh water sport fish, this is all done on a “catch and release basis,” either from the river banks below your chalet, or by boat with our professional guide. Safaris and tours need to be booked in advance. The guides are all very professional and endeavour to make your safari experience memorable.

A full day or half day safari into the Kruger National Park or day tours of Maputo or Swaziland may be arranged. Night drives in the open safari vehicle with a professional Game Warden from the Kruger National Park are also available.
